General Astrology
Overview for All 12 Signs:
Stop the presses! Halt production...at least, temporarily. After a summer of revving our go-getter engines, Jupiter retrogrades back from Aries into Pisces. Jupiter entered fire sign Aries on June 6, igniting action, creativity, and the desire to invent something truly original and world changing. With revolutionary Uranus also in Aries from May 27 through August 14, the ideas generated this summer truly CAN change the world. Not quite yet, though. Now, both Jupiter and Uranus are back in flowy, water-sign Pisces until 2011. Time to do the behind-the-scenes work again to make sure we’ve truly gathered the right forces behind our vision. Given the overcrowded marketplace, the world doesn’t need another pretty product. What we create must uplift the world, not pollute it. Pisces, at its best, is soulful, spiritual, and deeply magical. If we are, say...chopping down trees and dumping chemicals into water, well, it’s time to rethink our production processes. The same holds true for other toxic energies we are putting out there through our thoughts and our speech (Perez Hilton, listen up!). A new moon in Virgo on Wednesday arrives just in time to help us reorganize our base camps. There’s no better energy to take back to the proverbial drawing board with us, as Virgo’s energy is all about integrity and honor. On Thursday, loveplanet Venus makes an extended, four-month visit to Scorpio. Venus is “in detriment” in Scorpio, meaning its power is weakest in this position. As Oscar Wilde famously wrote, “I can resist everything but temptation.” This pretty much sums up Venus in Scorpio. This is not the time to toy with unscrupulous influences or test out the possibility of an open relationship to rev up a flatlining marriage. Desire and preoccupation with sex can become an all-consuming distraction if we don’t stay focused on our higher intentions. Sex is not just a physical exchange now—it is an energetic contract that we sign and seal with our bodies. Hang the “Soulmates Only” sign on the bedroom door. Who we invite into our boudoirs between now and January 8, 2011 can inspire us to great heights or send us plummeting to new lows, depending on how consciously we select them.
