MARCH 2010

MONTHLY OVERVIEW:
The first three weeks of March can be sleepy and sluggish, weighed down with unfinished business and burdensome tasks. The Sun is in Pisces, completing its twelve-month zodiac journey before starting over in Aries on March 20th. You’re at the end of your annual cycle, an important time to wrap up anything that you don’t want to bring into the new year. Soldier on, Aries. After the 20th, you spring back to life, ready to make a fresh start.

March can be a creative month, especially when your ruling planet Mars speeds back into forward motion on the 10th. Since December, Mars has been retrograde (backward) in Leo, your fifth house of passion, romance and artistic inspiration. If you’ve been feeling like a wet blanket, your energy and initiative return. Mars will be in Leo until June, a fertile cycle for love, bold ideas and even a pregnancy.

LOVE & ROMANCE:
March is a fabulous month for love. On the 8th, romantic Venus moves into Aries, rebooting your mojo. Two days later, sexy Mars returns to direct (forward) motion in Leo, your passionate fifth house. With these two dynamic planets in fire signs, you feel attractive, charismatic and more than a little randy—and don’t think you’re the only one to notice. Don’t feel guilty about flirting, even if you’re in a relationship. It’s just an exchange of life force energy, which is totally healthy and restorative.

Independence is an aphrodisiac to your sign, and you may find yourself needing a little more space or free time. Single Aries, go ahead and enjoy a spring fling or two. With Venus in your sign, you’re not in the mood to be tied down just yet. But do take precautions if you’re not ready to have an unplanned bun in the oven—2010 is an especially fertile year for you, especially with Mars in Leo. Later in the month, you can talk commitment. On March 29th, the Libra full moon beams into your seventh house of marriage and partnership. This marks a turning point for many Aries. You may go to the next level with a significant other, or part ways in a mutual split. Whatever the case, it’s an important day to attend to your closest relationships, making sure that you’re in sync with your inner circle.

MONEY & CAREER:
Creative projects are energized after the 10th, when your ruling planet Mars zips into direct motion. Let your imagination guide you. If you work for a non-profit or charitable venture, you could hear news about a grant near the 15th. On this date, the dreamy Pisces new moon links up with innovative Uranus and clever Mercury. This could deliver a jolt of artistic inspiration, or you could suddenly change paths. You may be assigned to an exciting project that involves technology, writing or new media. If you’ve absolutely had enough of your current life direction, the new moon could give you the conviction to walk away—or at least take the first real steps in the direction you really want to go. Where do you want to make a difference in the world, Aries? Let this higher truth inform your choices.

Remember, though: to make a truly clean break, you can’t leave a bunch of loose ends dangling. Honor your commitments and finish any work you’re obligated to complete—if only for the sake of karma. When the Sun moves into Aries on March 20th, your enthusiasm returns full-force. You’ll want to be as open and available as possible. An exciting partnership opportunity could arrive at the Libra full moon on March 29th.

HEALTH: MIND, BODY & SOUL:
Take it easy and get extra sleep for the first three weeks of March. You’re releasing emotional layers and processing complex issues on a deep subconscious level. Perhaps you’re saying goodbye to a piece of your past, something your conscious mind resists. Let other parts of your brain do the rejuvenating work while you rest. Alternative healing methods are particularly effective now.

At the Pisces new moon on the 15th, you may have to deal with an emotional outburst or confrontation. Perhaps you’ve glimpsed a side of someone you wish you hadn’t. Someone may be using guilt or manipulation tactics to have his way, or a frustrating situation may feel bigger than you can handle. Don’t let it bring you to your knees, Aries. Allow yourself have a good cry, and admit that you don’t know what to do. As soon as you stop trying to have it all figured out, the right next step will come to you. Surrender doesn’t equal defeat. Sometimes, it can open the doors you’ve been trying to force your way through.
