MONTHLY OVERVIEW:
The month begins with a moment of personal manifestation.
On November 2nd, the Taurus full moon brings the last six months of your
life to a rousing summit. All the crazy times suddenly make sense. Your
angst hasn’t
all been in vain, though you certainly weathered moments of doubt this
year. At the full moon, you realize how well you know yourself—and
nobody can take that away from you now.
It’s a good thing, since much of the month is focused on relationships. The Sun is traveling through Scorpio, your partnership sign, until the 21st. You may need to assert yourself with a mate or relative early this month. In fact, your willingness to be authentic could determine a relationship’s fate. What do you need, Taurus? Find the courage to say it straight. While you’re at it, listen to what others are saying without interrupting or assuming you can read their minds. Making a person feel genuinely heard is an incredible gift.
LOVE & ROMANCE:
Commitments occupy a big part of November’s agenda. The Sun and romantic
Venus visit Scorpio, your seventh house of relationships. Restrictive Saturn
has also ended a two-year stranglehold on your romance house. Pleasure
returns, and you’re feeling ripe with earthy fertility. If you’ve
had trouble conceiving or problems disciplining a young child, matters
improve.
Use the month to rebalance dynamics in your relationships. While you’re a loyal sign, you’re also temperamental, and not always great at compromise. You dig in your heels until you get your way, even if you plaster on a saccharine smile. Or, you lay down a rigid standard, insisting “that’s just how it is” (newsflash: only in your world). Enough of that, Taurus. This month, get curious about what’s going on in the other person’s mind. Why did he say “no” to you—perhaps there was a good reason? Take an active interest in your mate’s feelings instead of forcing your agenda.
Single Bulls should get out on November 16th, when the Scorpio new moon launches a fresh six-month chapter of your love life. However, don’t mix business with pleasure. You could be tempted by a sweet-talking coworker or client, but it’s best not to go there right now. Mid-month, old father issues could surface, causing friction in your partnerships. You may be feeling disillusioned by an important male role model, and projecting that disappointment onto others. Putting your mate on a pedestal is no better—it’s still a distorted view. Let the poor soul be mortal, with a character flaw or two.
MONEY & CAREER:
Make your moves early this month, in the afterglow of the Taurus full moon
November 2nd. You’re full of pride and purpose—a great time
to sell yourself. There’s no need to brag, even if you’ve
earned the right. It will only raise the ire of a law-and-order type,
who resents that you’ve soared to the top without following protocol.
Avoid these “haters” and deal with visionary thinkers only.
If you’re feeling swamped at work, enlist an intern or even a virtual
assistant to lighten your load.
On the 4th, Neptune goes direct (forward) in your fame and public image sector. It’s time to bring some glamour back to your career, Taurus. Your charm and razzle-dazzle return, so you might want to take new headshots or revamp any press materials. You may also tie your work to your ideals. We know several Bulls who have traveled Southeast Asia this year, working in Nepalese orphanages, micro-financing craftswomen in Laos and returning fired up to battle the poverty, landmines and unfortunate circumstances they witnessed in these beautiful countries.
Around the 16th, the Scorpio new moon could bring an intriguing partnership offer. As sweet as the deal sounds, you must read the fine print. Don’t sign contracts in haste, especially from a place of scarcity or desperation. Know your worth and negotiate on your own behalf. Smooth talk is nothing more than that, so background check an offer that sounds too good to be true. Promises, promises—show me the money!
HEALTH & FITNESS:
Fitness is the last thing you want to think about now, but it must be a
priority. Strict Saturn, the personal trainer planet, will spend the
next three years in Libra, your health sign. You’re either totally
disciplined or mangia-ing on every butter-based treat you can
get your mitts on. Same goes for habits like drinking and smoking (Taurus
rules the lungs, and you love a good cigarette drag). You can go from
cold turkey to Thanksgiving turkey in no time.
With Saturn here until October 2012, you’re in health boot camp. It’s time to approach well-being as a total lifestyle, and to consider the long-term impact of your choices. People in your life are counting on you to stay alive as long as possible. No more tossing your willpower aside for a good glass of Sancerre or an after-dinner tobacco puff. To achieve that, get support: apersonal trainer, a life coach, a hypnotherapist, a nutritional counselor, acupuncture. There are so many great resources, so stretch yourself and try something new.
