Horoscope:
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
November 2008
It’s time to partner up, Taurus. November begins with the Sun, Mars and Mercury visiting Scorpio, your seventh house of committed relationships. Passionate Mars has been here since October 5, revving up your desire to join forces. Whether for business or romance, you’re definitely better as a tag team now, Taurus.
Got a contract to sign or an important relationship talk you want to have? From November 5-23, communication planet Mercury will be in Scorpio, making it prime time to negotiate all matters related to partnerships. Travel with a significant person (again, for work or pleasure) is also in the stars. Mercury rules short trips, so keep gas in the tank and your comfy walking shoes handy! Cozying up at home or spending late nights at the office are a thing of the past.
Taurus, it’s been an on-the-go 2008, so you’re used to jet-setting around by now. Don’t unpack your bags just yet. From November 13-Decmber 8, love planet Venus visits your ninth house of long-distance travel. This could be a “meet the parents” Thanksgiving for you and a significant other. Or, you may have to board a plane for an important work-related event. Don’t turn a travel invitation down just because it seems to be a “schmoozefest” more than a let’s-make-a-deal trip. Follow the adventures that come during this Venus cycle and see what kind of magic happens. Venus is your ruling planet—she’d never steer you wrong! Experiment with the notion of not really knowing why you’re doing something. Follow your gut and just go for it.
November 13 is a big day for you, Taurus, one you might want to star on your calendar. The Taurus full moon falls on this date, culminating the last six months of your life. Think back to the time around May 5—the Taurus new moon—and the seeds you planted then. It’s harvest time! Whatever has grown and blossomed in your life, for better or for worse, is a manifestation of what began then. At the Taurus full moon, put closure on anything negative that’s cropped up, and celebrate all the goodness that’s come into full bloom. This is a day to put yourself out there and speak up for yourself—no holds barred!
Later in the month, there’s even more action. On November 27, powerful Pluto moves into Capricorn—its first transition in 13 years! Since 1995, Pluto has been in your intense eighth house, transforming your most intimate affairs in a sometimes jarring way. The mysterious eighth house rules real estate, marriage, intimacy, sexuality, large amounts of money and legal matters. For you, this was like a double shot of intensity, as the eighth house is ruled by Pluto. You may have experienced extreme highs and lows during this cycle: marriage and divorce, sexual indulgence and long periods of abstinence, huge financial windfalls followed by lean periods (even a total loss), buying and selling a home.
It’s been an insane roller coaster for many Bulls, but one that has transformed you forever. Pluto is like that sadistic schoolteacher who seemed to torture you without reason, but in the end, forced you to grow, stand up for yourself, and plant yourself firmly in a position. Remember, bullies only pick on those who appear weak or wishy-washy. By standing your ground—and doing so with loving inner confidence, rather than defensiveness—you became nearly impervious to Pluto’s ravaging effects. Think about it, Taurus. Although you may or may not have the material riches to show for it, you are intimately connected to your soul in a way you couldn’t previously imagine. Pluto fulfilled its promise of leaving you permanently transformed, painful as it could be some times.
On the 27th, you can graduate from hell, and get on to bigger and better things. Whew! From now until 2023, Pluto will visit your ninth house of long-distance travel, education, publishing and entrepreneurship. The inspiring ninth house, coupled with intense Pluto’s energy, could turn you into quite a visionary. Money and legal matters should stabilize for you now. It’s time to put yourself out there as a global powerhouse. International travel could change the way you view life forever. If you’re thinking of starting a business, think in terms of economic and environmental reform—and beyond that, changing the way people think. Don’t be afraid to shock anyone with your radical views. Let them all hang out!
The ninth house also rules religion and philosophy. You’ll be attracted to strong belief systems, but guard yourself against extremism. Taurus, you’re not a wishy-washy sign, but you’ll need to force yourself to keep an open mind in the months to come. Be willing to say “I don’t know” rather than come up with a hard-line answer. You’re in a long period of inquiry and exploration now. Enjoy the process. You need to be two-headed now: keep one part of your mind on the big picture at all times, but also steep yourself in the present moment rather than force an agenda.
Interesting times are ahead! Fortunately, lucky Jupiter has been in your ninth house all year, teaching you to be flexible and to even enjoy change. Roll with it and see what comes your way. It certainly won’t be boring.
