Monthly
Horoscope:
Pisces (February 19-March 20)
November 2008
The month begins and ends with exciting, refreshing changes! Since June, Pisces have been carrying quite a load, thanks to two major planets in retrograde (backward) motion. Your ruling planet Neptune took a reverse spin, accompanied by Uranus retrograde—in Pisces, no less. Translated into English, this means your life was a bit of pea soup over the summer and Fall. At last, this cycle comes to an end.
On November 2, Neptune ends a five-month retrograde in your Pisces-ruled twelfth house of healing, sacrifice and endings. Pisces, you already feel like a martyr figure at times, and these last five months may have demanded a huge amount of giving from you. Perhaps you had to play caretaker, shoulder the burden of your family’s income, or dealt with an illness (yours or another person’s). Maybe you just bit off more than you could chew, or faced seemingly uphill battles.
Unfinished business was a likely culprit, since retrogrades bring back the past. This cycle was an important time to put closure on any issues or relationships with lingering baggage. Old feelings of guilt may have surfaced, and it was hard to step back and assert boundaries with foggy Neptune making everything such a haze. Now that Neptune is direct, you can free yourself from shouldering this mighty burden and move forward with much greater clarity!
Later in the month, unpredictable Uranus turns direct (forward) in Pisces, stabilizing your life even more. Pisces, you may be a flowy Water sign, but you still like to have some structure in your life. Uranus retrograde threw you challenge after challenge out of left field, and the more you tried to take control of a situation, the crazier it got! If you were rebellious or outspoken, your intentions were probably misread, causing you to come across as a loose cannon instead of a brilliant forward thinker. Hopefully, you learned a few key lessons about how to effectively assert yourself without alienating others.
If you haven’t, a November 13 full moon in your third house of communication gives you a chance to be heard. Full moons bring everything into the light, so if you’ve got something to say, let it out! With this moon falling in stubborn, hotheaded Taurus (and Uranus still retrograde), just make sure you choose your words carefully. Right now, you’ll catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Rather than attack an individual person, focus on the big picture and give a fair, honest critique of the situation—presenting solutions and keeping the conversation positive.
It’s even more important that you play the diplomatic leader because on November 27, a major 13-year cycle ends when Pluto moves from Sagittarius into Capricorn. Powerful Pluto, ruler of deep transformation, has been in your tenth house of career and leadership since 1995. You may have completely reinvented your professional life—from the ground up—several times during this cycle.
Doing so wasn’t always pleasant, and you may have battled with authority figures or the powers that be. Driving the struggle were your own conflicted emotions about being in the power position. You may have been afraid that you’d be dominating, oppressive or disconnected from “the people”—irrational fears that you’ve hopefully overturned.
With Pluto’s help, own sense of yourself as an authority figure has evolved significantly. Pisces, you’re famous for hiding behind others rather than stepping out as the incredible, compassionate leader you are. During Pluto’s reign, you may have been forced to assert yourself, a painful process that really challenged you to grow. What an evolution!
Now, Pluto moves into your eleventh house of friends, groups and society—staying until 2023. If you’re working on a social justice project, take it to the highest possible levels and reform the world! Since the eleventh house rules technology and the air waves, make use of the Inernet, video and audio to spread your message. You could even get involved in politics, or be invited to steer a non-profit organization. Think in terms of the greater society now, Pisces. Like it or not, what you do is intimately connected to the world at large, and making a difference.
Your friendships and affiliations will go through a major evolution. Since Pluto rules the “shadow” side of our natures, you may see some ugly traits show up in people you considered friends: jealousy, greed, domination. Use this cycle to either find healthier friendships or to put these relationships on a more balanced track.
It’s time to step out in a group and take command. Pisces, don’t let shaken self-confidence prevent you from owning your power. You’re way more qualified to take the helm than you think. Trust yourself, and rise up!
