Monthly Horoscope:

Aries (March 21-April 10)

November 2008

October’s intensity carries into November, at least for the first couple weeks. It’s time to focus on the little micro-details, something an impatient, big-picture type like you doesn’t always enjoy. Aries, go within as much as you can, and your outgoing, optimistic nature will soon return.

Legal, financial or real estate issues color the beginning of this month. Are you moving, buying or selling property, or paying off debt? You may need to organize your money differently, probably because other people or factors are involved. Perhaps you’re investing in a joint venture, taking out a loan, or moving in with a significant other. Whatever the case, it’s time for a new approach to the way you allocate your money.

This can be both exciting and stressful, since your ruling planet Mars is in your eighth house of shared resources until November 16. On the one hand, you’re energized about finding new sources of financial flow, but you may also feel like you’re biting off more than you can chew. Aries, be a little more conservative than usual. Your best bet is to make a plan and unroll it at a slow and steady pace, rather than taking a major gamble. And remember the old saying: man plans, God laughs. Remain flexible, Aries, at least for now.

On November 13, a Taurus full moon illuminates your second house of income and daily environment. You’ll see details a lot more clearly at this time. If you’ve been hanging on to an old habit, a job you hate, or a living space you’ve outgrown, this full moon will help you find the courage to let go. It will also inspire you to create something new and better—something that matches the person you’ve become. Taurus rules luxury, pleasure and sophistication, and this moon could inspire you to raise the bar for yourself. Aries, you deserve a little more indulgence, especially after this year of hard work. Venus, planet of beauty and romance, enters stable Capricorn on November 13, too. The combination of these two earth signs will definitely have you thinking first-class.

In spite of a burst of lunar insight, the show’s not over yet. If possible, delay all major decisions until after November 27. Several planetary events take place around this date that will alter the course of your life forever—no joke! The biggie: Pluto, planet of deep transformation, moves into a new sign for the first time in 13 years. On November 27, it enters Capricorn, ruler of your tenth house of career, fame and structure, staying until 2023. A major career and lifestyle transformation could come on the heels of Pluto’s transit. You may have gotten a sneak peek earlier this year, so think back to any changes that began between February and June 2008. The tenth house rules leadership, so if you feel called to take a more public or prominent role in your life, Pluto will certainly help. Just don’t expect it to be comfortable. Pluto’s call to action is more like a volcano than a gentle nudge.

That same day, a new moon falls in Sagittarius, your ninth house of inspiration, long-distance travel and higher education. Tune into your inner visionary and think about where you’d like to be over the next six months. If you’ve thought of going back to school, traveling or creating something with a higher purpose, it’s a great time to tap into this part of your personality. Your ruling planet Mars will already move into Sagittarius on November 17, staying until December 28. Holiday travel is definitely in the stars for you.

A more spiritual side of your nature begins to emerge at month’s end, too. On the 28th, revolutionary Uranus ends a five-month retrograde (low-power spell) in your mystical twelfth house. Flashes of intuition and near-psychic insight could strike. Pay special attention to your dreams, serendipitous signs and other subconscious messages. You could find a way to join Uranus-ruled technology with a Pisces-ruled “healing profession” or charitable mission. Websites, podcasts, online video—or any other innovation you dream up—could help you bring a consciousness-raising message to the masses. Think of Aries Al Gore, whose documentary An Inconvenient Truth profoundly impacted the cultural mindset about environmental issues.

In romantic matters, love begins to stabilize mid-month, when Venus enters Capricorn November 13-December 8. You’ll find it easier to implement structure and consistency with a partner. If single, you may find yourself drawn to a more mature or established type who acts as a grounding force. If things go slow and steady, that’s a good sign, and par for the course that your life is on. Aries, you’re learning the wisdom of holding back and taking your time. It’s a good thing!
