It’s Pisces time! The Sun is in your sign until March 20, so in many ways, your year is just beginning. It’s time to focus on yourself and where you’re heading now. Which personal goals would you like to accomplish in 2009? Now is the time to plant those seeds. By the Fall, you could see a nice harvest of anything you begin now.
At the same time that you dream of new ventures, you should also focus on closure. In earlier horoscopes, we’ve mentioned that Jupiter, planet of expansion, is in your twelfth house of healing, rest and endings all year. You’re powering down in preparation for a new twelve-year cycle that begins next January.
While 2010 is poised to be your luckiest year in over a decade, now is your time to clear the decks and prepare. It’s as though you’re performing a yearlong “feng shui” on your life, clearing away all that no longer serves you. Negative forces should be expelled, and you may need to say a few tearful goodbyes. While there may be some temporary pain or sadness, trust your heart and let it lead you to a better day.
One area where this theme could play out? Relationships. On March 11, the Virgo full moon lights up your partnership sector, putting your attention squarely on your closest ties. A budding relationship could come to fruition around this time. Whether for business or personal reasons, there could be an opportunity to join forces with someone special. You might even get engaged at this full moon, or take your relationship to an even deeper level.
The full moon will form a “trine” angle to Pluto, ruler of deep transformation. Pluto is in your independent eleventh house, indicating that you need more freedom in your relationships now. Pisces, your sign can easily blur boundaries, and you often lose yourself in relationships. Now, you may need to carve out more personal space or detach from other people’s dramas to pursue your own path. Do the people in your life support this? If you’re in a relationship, you may need to transform the terms, or shift to a new dynamic. If someone is used to you always being there, even at your own expense, you’ll need to make it clear that there’s a new world order.
If you’ve reached the end of the road with someone, you’ll know around this full moon, too. Hopefully, you can close things on a gentle note, but it could be tough. Pluto is not famous for a kid-glove approach. As the mythological God of the underworld, Pluto has a dark side, too. You may see a side of your partner—and yourself—that's a bit disturbing. Although all is not lost, you can't brush things off anymore. Denial and delusion are not your friends.
A current example is Pisces singer Rihanna, who made headlines in February. Pictures surfaced of her bruised and battered, allegedly by her Taurus boyfriend Chris Brown. Talk about "Disturbia." As a Pisces, we imagine she must be having a huge internal struggle as family and media urge her to press charges. It's so hard for your sign to cut ties with people, even when they completely bring you down. Co-dependence is often your co-pilot. Pisces, you must be extra alert this year for manipulative people, as you can be easily charmed by a powerful, charismatic "Svengali" type. Before you get swept off your feet now, do a little background check.
Pisces, if you're in a healthy relationship, don't panic—this doesn't apply to you. Just know that the energy of transformation has come to your relationships. It's time to evolve how you deal with others, share power and cooperate. We can all stand to do that, no matter what our sign. With love-planet Venus retrograde (backward) from March 6-April 17, the whole world is going through a romantic makeover now anyway.
Bottom line: you can't solve the world's problems—so we urge you to focus on yourself now. On March 14th, motivator Mars goes into Pisces, giving you a little extra oomph. Fight for what you want and stand up for yourself. It's a great time to put yourself in the spotlight again. Not that you'll have to try too hard: you'll attract plenty of attention on your own!
