MONTHLY
OVERVIEW:
Summer vacation? Hardly. While others head off to sandy beaches, you’re
just getting down to business. The Gemini Sun heats up your work and money house
for the first three weeks of June—a productive time not to be squandered.
When the Sun enters Cancer on the 21st, go stick your toes in the ocean or laze
around with that must-read summer novel. Until then, don’t expect to develop
any tan lines unless you work outdoors for a living.
Meantime, you’re busy with a nascent spiritual awakening. You’re not just bringing home a paycheck, Taurus; you’re on the verge of finding your purpose. From June 6th-September 8th, expansive Jupiter visits Aries, your twelfth house of healing, endings and serendipity. This summer, a portion of your energy will go toward putting closure on the last decade of your life (no pressure or anything!).
The zodiac’s twelfth house rules mysticism and the subconscious, as
well as recovery from addictive patterns. This is not the time to force new
beginnings without cleaning up messes left behind. You can’t build
a mansion on top of a landfill then call it a proper castle, Taurus. Invest
the time in getting your affairs in air-tight order. Next June, Jupiter will
enter Taurus, making for one of the luckiest years you’ve had since
1999-2000 (the last time Jupiter visited your sign). Any hard work or sacrifices
made now are in service of a powerful, decade-long new chapter that starts
then. Focus on creating a clean slate so you’re positioned for takeoff
next summer.
LOVE & ROMANCE:
You’re hot…then you’re not. Your mojo hasn’t been
at its usual lusty levels since April, thanks to restrictive Saturn in Virgo,
your passionate fifth house. Saturn puts your libido in lockdown until July
22nd, but fortunately, this buzz-killer gets a challenge from unstoppable
Mars. The fiery red planet enters Virgo from June 8th-July 29th, spicing
up the summer. Because Mars and Saturn have such clashing energies, you may
feel like you’re in a pressure cooker, with no outlet for those randy
urges.
Don’t despair. Saturn rules structure, so you may need to schedule that romantic rendezvous between work obligations. With a little creativity, that lunch-hour quickie could make for naughty, memorable fun. Can’t get to St. Barth’s for a week? Head to the cheesy “hot tub gardens” with a bottle of bubbly, then spend the night in a hotel. With a sense of humor and play, you’ll find ways to connect, which counts more than the five-star bells and whistles. A pregnancy is possible over the next two months, too.
Meantime, your vulnerable side emerges—like it or not. Both Jupiter
and Uranus are in Aries this summer, your twelfth house of release. This
period of surrender could bring true confessions, unexpected tears and emotional
meltdowns (yours or someone else’s). While you may be surprised to
see your own stiff upper lip quiver, there’s relief in letting that
tough façade crumble. Yes, Taurus, you’re human, too. The summer
is a good time for couples therapy, especially if buried issues that surface
are too challenging to handle alone.
MONEY & CAREER:
You’re focused on making money and creating stability while the Sun
is in Gemini until June 21st. Behind on your budget? On June 12th, the Gemini
new moon could bring a job offer or a new source of income. With Mars in
your creative fifth house, you’re craving more artistic stimulation.
If your work doesn’t provide enough, sign up for extracurricular activities,
like a dance or theater workshop. The enjoyment will seep into your daily
work life, making you happier and more productive.
On June 26th, a lunar eclipse brings sweeping change to your ninth house
of entrepreneurship, travel and expansion. You may be ready to launch your
own business or leave town for so-called greener pastures. Relax, Taurus—your
day will come. Right now, you’ve got unfinished business that will
follow wherever you try to run. This eclipse melds its powers with transformational
Pluto, and also squares off with Jupiter and Uranus in your twelfth house
of endings. Excited and inspired as you are, the logic behind a big scheme
might be faulty. Don’t get discouraged. Your ideas have promise, but
they need time to be backed by a solid plan—along with the divine guidance
lent by this summer’s stars. Rather than force an agenda, let go and
allow the universe to lead you. Bigger and better options could await, so
if something doesn’t work out, know that you’ll eventually be
glad it didn’t.
HEALTH: MIND, BODY & SOUL:
You’re working hard, but rest and recuperation have never been more
essential. With both Jupiter and Uranus in your sleepy twelfth house until
mid-August, your system is processing a lot of emotional baggage. You may
feel lost or low at moments, a condition that will only be aggravated by
all-nighters, excessive drinking or hanging with smooth-talking Svengali
types. Stay away from negative temptations and influences during this period,
because you’re exceptionally vulnerable to their charms.
What’s really going on? You’re shifting your focus from material concerns to a more metaphysical approach. For your practical, no-nonsense sign, this may be a shock to the system. Although Taurus Kelly Bensimon declared feelings “so 1979” on the Real Housewives of New York, you (and she) may be time-transported back to those crunchy, kumbaya days in short order. Resist the urge to play the victim or blame others for your woes. You suddenly see how you’re the starting point of everything that works—and doesn’t work—in your life. Although you’re used to gaining security from status, accomplishments and being held in others’ esteem, it’s a new world order for you. A path of personal responsibility will ultimately bring you the dignity and self-respect you desire. Next up: your Taurus Weekly Horoscope >
