Don’t throw out the baby with the bathwater, though. On June 15th, expansive Jupiter goes retrograde (backward) until October 12th. Jupiter is in your ninth house of travel, study and inspiration. In its retrograde position, it will help you reflect philosophically on your past. Over the summer, you may vacation to an old haunt, revisit a favorite subject or finish a writing project. At times, you may need to work harder to shore up faith, but don’t get discouraged. There’s gold to discover if you just slow down.
After the 20th, the Sun moves into Cancer, your stable second house. A little structure in your life goes far. Ground yourself in a few daily habits and practices. Eat meals at regular times, go to yoga, keep a full refrigerator—whatever helps you feel nourished, do it. Being good to yourself is essential now.
LOVE & ROMANCE:
On June 7th, the Sagittarius full moon beams into your seventh house of relationships
and commitment. Full moons are peak moments, and this one could bring either
a proposal or a necessary parting of ways. Much of it depends on your own
self-awareness. This moon will square off with tough Saturn, which is in
your sector of family and foundations. If you’re truly solid in whom
you are, your relationships can rise beautifully to the next level. However,
if you have major baggage with a parent, hide behind a false image or shun
personal responsibility, your closest relationships will show cracks in
their armor.
Should this happen, get to work on your core confidence. Fear and control are at the root of any breakdowns. To cover up insecurity (and to shield yourself from hurt), you may be showing people only what you want them to see. This act is hard to keep up, and demands that you keep everyone at emotional arms’ length. You need to start projecting an image that matches the person you are inside—flaws and all. You’ll be amazed at the happiness and unconditional love this creates.
Mars and Venus are in your twelfth house of surrender—all the more reason to let go. Since February, love-planet Venus has been in your erratic, independent eleventh house. Relationships may have been stop-and-go, with you or a partner acting aloof or detached. Suddenly, you feel vulnerable again. While this might freak you out, it’s actually your access to the kind of intimacy that real love requires. Open your heart and let the emotional channels flow again.
MONEY & CAREER:
The second half of June is much more work focused, so get the birthday celebrations
out of your system early. On the 15th, your ruler Mercury goes into Gemini
until July 3rd. This is a great time to write proposals, brainstorm, pitch
ideas and initiate new projects. Just be sure to start slowly. With Jupiter
retrograde in your entrepreneurial ninth house, you’ll need to be
a little more risk-averse than usual. Use the summer to hone an idea and
save big launches until Fall if you can. It’s a great time to take
an extension course, even finish work on a degree.
On June 20th, the Sun moves into Cancer, your second house of finance. Are you an impulse spender, or do you plan for the future? Take a good look at your money habits. On the 22nd, the Cancer new moon could bring a new job or income opportunity. Set a goal for where you’d like to be in six months. Start building a nest egg, budgeting or saving. Even if you only put away $20 a week, commit to the practice of investing in your long-term security.
HEALTH & FITNESS:
It’s detox time, Gemini. Energy-planet Mars and beautifying Venus are
both in your twelfth house of endings and release. It’s time to let
go of the garbage you’ve taken in—be it stress, negative emotions
or unhealthy foods that clog your system. Gemini, you tend to be open-minded
when it comes to health. If you’ve never done a cleanse before, try
a three-day juice fast, or even a colon cleansing kit. It may sound gross
(and, well…it is), but the average person carries around pounds of
waste in her system. This slows digestion, drains energy and can lead to
disease in the long run.
One of the many great books on this topic is The Raw Food Detox Diet by Natalia Rose. The author offers five levels, from a “toe in the water” approach to a full-on raw food lifestyle. She explains in simple terms how to combine foods for optimal digestion, based on their acid and alkaline content (no science degree required). There’s no deprivation or portion limiting whatsoever. It’s worth a read even if you experiment with just a principle or two. Next up: your Gemini Weekly Horoscope >

GENERAL:
It’s Gemini time! The Sun visits Gemini until June 20th, energizing
you to start a new year with confidence and vigor. Where would you like to
be by your next birthday? What steps or actions will get you there? This
month, follow the feng shui principle of “space clearing” as
well. As you add new ideas and experiences to your life, also look at what
you can eliminate. With Venus and Mars in your twelfth house of endings,
be willing to part with what no longer serves you.
