Monthly
Horoscope:
Pisces (February 19-March 20)
JUNE 2008
Got mama drama, or something to say to a female friend? Resolve it now. Communicator Mercury is retrograde (backward) in your fourth house of home, motherhood and women until June 20. Mercury retrograde can cause people to misunderstand each other, so choose your words carefully. If your mom or children live far away, now would be a great time to visit them. Just be extra careful not to push each other’s hot buttons—keep the conversations as pleasant and neutral as possible! If you need to clear the air, do so in a constructive manner. If you play your cards right, you could resolve a lingering tension for once and for all.
Mercury also rules travel and transportation, and the retrograde can cause SNAFUs here. If you’re planning a family trip, parts of your journey could be a comedy of errors. Try to remain light about it. Even a delayed flight or congested traffic can become bonding moments, believe it or not. At the very least, don’t let such things ruin your fun this month. Keep extra books, travel games, snacks and a cheerful attitude handy.
If you’re not leaving town, a hands-on home project could be great to tackle during this Mercury cycle. Refinish a chair, rearrange furniture or redecorate your room. If you’re interviewing contractors or drawing up plans with an architect, avoid signing on any dotted lines until after June 20 if you can. Mercury rules contracts, and during retrogrades, it’s easy to overlook crucial details.
On top of that, your ruling planet Neptune is also retrograde this month, making you a bit of a space case. Pisces, although your breezy attitude is refreshing, make sure you’re not sloppy about key details. Certain memories will be extra strong now, and old fears and trust issues could resurface. A difficult person from your past (probably female—or at least, a “feminine” man) could even pop up this month, temporarily luring you back into an old dynamic. You might become so preoccupied with what’s on your mind that you have trouble staying in the here and now. Snap yourself out of it, Pisces. The more you obsess, the worse it actually gets.
Do something to ground yourself—even placing your palms on a hard tabletop or squeezing your own hand. It sounds funny, but these little rituals can center you in the present moment. You’ll need to give yourself these little reality checks now.
Mid-month, your attention turns more to career and love. On June 19, loveplanet Venus moves into Cancer, your fifth house of romance and dating. The Sun joins Venus two days later, heating up your love life even more. Pisces, who couldn’t use a little summer lovin’? Head to the beach, or slip into a cute outfit and go sip cocktails on an outdoor terrace. Flirt to your heart’s content—your charms are sure to be noticed! Might as well freshen up that online dating profile while you’re at it if you’re single.
This will be a welcome relief since Saturn, planet of maturity and challenges, has been in your committed relationship sector since September 2007. You’ve been forced to grow up fast here, or adapt to forces beyond your conrol. Last month, Saturn just went into direct (full-power) mode. You may have chosen to end a turbulent romance for once and for all. Or, perhaps a longstanding conflict with a mate was finally resolved, putting your partnership on much firmer ground. Either way, this celestial beam of lighthearted romantic energy will be a beautiful addition to your days. After all that heaviness, it’s time to just have fun.
Your work life will be undergoing a seismic shift from June 15-November 27. If you’ve been in free-spirit mode all year, those leisurely, unstructured days could get a little more corporate. On June 15, transformational Pluto backs into Sagittarius, your tenth house of career and structure. This is Pluto’s last visit to Sagittarius for a couple hundred years, so take advantage of this window.
Pisces, you want to change the world, and your vision is grand. However, have you build a proper foundation? During this Pluto cycle, go back and make sure every I is dotted, ever T crossed. Call upon mentors and experienced pros in your field. It doesn’t mean you have to follow their advice chapter and verse. Just take the best and leave the rest. Even a small nugget of wisdom could transform everything.
Pluto is retrograde, so an old employer could even call you in to revolutionize her business. You might return to a former company or schedule, or partner up with an established institution. All the same, you’ll notice: something is different. That “something” is your attitude. Pisces, could it be that you’ve finally learned to value yourself? You’ll certainly find out now. While in the past you’ve undersold yourself, even played the martyr, Pluto offers you once last chance to alter this trend forever. It’s time to step into a leadership role and stop playing the “aw shucks I’m nobody” bit. You’re powerful, so own it, Pisces. If you’ve paid your dues, why not collect the benefits? You’re perfectly entitled to enjoy the spoils of your hard work.
On June 18, a Full Moon lights up your career sector. Even if you’re on vacation, keep your phone on and stake out the nearby Internet café or WiFi zone to check email. You could hear excellent work-related news in the days surrounding this Full Moon. If a work project has been laying half-complete on your desk, this Moon will give you a surge of energy to power through and finally get it done. If at all possible, schedule getaways early in the month so you can be back in time!
