June is all about friends, both old and new. Mercury, planet of communication, is retrograde (backward) until June 20 in your eleventh house of friendship and group activity. You might get a “blast from the past” when an old friend contacts you out of the blue. Or, you might get the urge to look up a long-lost pal and reconnect. The eleventh house also rules electronics, so a little poking around on Facebook or Zabasearch could help you track an old contact down.
The Mercury retrograde cycle could also be time to renew membership in any old associations, like a school alumni club or an activity group. If you started dreaming up a humanitarian project, it’s time to get back in touch with your inner visionary. You’re a powerhouse, Leo, destined to leave a lasting mark on society if you choose. Dust off those plans and schedule meetings with people who can help you get this idea off the ground.
On June 3, a New Moon falls in your eleventh house, making it a great time to start an important new friendship. Any group activity or networking events you attend this week will be extra favorable. Make sure you tuck a stack of business cards into your purse, Leo! From June 7-9, social butterfly Venus joins Mercury and the Sun in your eleventh house. Parties and fundraisers can turn into valuable networking opportunities. Venus also rules romance, so who knows—you could end up mixing business and pleasure!
Mercury rules technology, so be sure to back up all your gadgets now. We’re talking cell phones, hard drives, anything with data you’d hate to lose. If you have a website, this could be a good time to revamp it. Consider adding a blog or online marketing tools like a mailing list or an online newsletter. Or, create a profile for yourself on a site with like-minded people who share your interests. You can even post your own profile with photos, and get advice from real interior designers. Leo, this is just one of many examples.
On June 15, transformational Pluto will retrograde back into your fifth house of romance, drama and creativity, staying until November 27. This is Pluto’s last visit here during your lifetime, and it could be a bit of a final wakeup call. Leo, you love a little drama in your life, but at a certain point, it becomes destructive. Whether you’re starting bar brawls or silently playing the tragic martyr figure, your relationships are suffering because of it. It’s time to face up to that.
Your drama queen is sure to rear up for a few last diva moments now, so use the opportunity to look within. What is your “inner child” having a temper tantrum about? Get to the root of it over the next five months. You’re due for a much healthier new lifestyle now. You’ve gotten a glimpse since January 26, when Pluto moved into your sixth house of health and service. Suddenly, you were motivated (or forced by life’s circumstances) to pursue a more mature, even structured, lifestyle. Old addictive or codependent patterns could even resurface late June. While you could have a small setback, don’t let it derail your efforts. Just know that you still have some unfinished business to clear away so that you can make healthy, happy living a permanent part of your life.
If you’re in a destructive relationship (Pluto rules the underworld) or just making questionable romantic choices, deal with that now, too. Your own attitude could be adding a reckless element to your love life. This could be costing you a higher price than it’s worth, Leo. Don’t wait until you hit rock bottom to make a change. On June 18, a Full Moon falls in your fifth house, making it a great night to declare to the universe: “No more drama!”
