MONTHLY OVERVIEW:
Snuggle under that cashmere throw and let the others play snow bunny. The
Sun is in Aquarius, your homey fourth house, until February 18th. The
good times are happening behind your front door, so cozy up for some much-needed
downtime—at least, when you’re not working your butt off. It’s
quite likely you’ll zip between work and home without any social
detours.
During your free time, get domestic: toss ingredients in the slow cooker, give yourself an avocado face mask, devour a new bestseller. Catch up with family, especially your parents. Mid-month, some Scorpios could move to a new home, renovate or tackle a decorating project.
On the 18th, the Sun moves into Pisces, your fifth house of romance and fun. The nest starts to feel a bit claustrophobic, so get out for dancing, decadent meals and lively conversations. Don’t worry about the winter temperatures—you’ll be hotheaded and hot-blooded enough to stave off the chills. Add a little extra body heat from a sexy suitor, and you can toss that Snuggie into the fireplace.
LOVE & ROMANCE:
Radical self-care is an act of love, so give yourself the royal treatment
during the first half of February. Pause the dating spree, pamper yourself
and reattune with your femininity. Fill your tank with girlie indulgences,
and tend to your emotions. The second half of the month is much more
romantic. On the 12th, love-planet Venus enters Pisces, your passionate
fifth house. A week later, the Sun moves into Pisces, ramping up your
love life even more.
Valentine’s Day is especially hot for love because the moon, Venus and lucky Jupiter are all in Pisces. No mourning, pining or pity parties allowed! Abundant opportunities for romance await, so invite pleasure into your life with a night of guilt-free hedonism. Buy theater tickets, go to a concert, order the chef’s five-course tasting menu with wine pairings. Let yourself be ridiculously romantic and over-the-top: a feather-trimmed negligee, rose petals in the tub, dripping candelabras all over the house.
One red-flag day is February 28th, when the Virgo full moon opposes Jupiter in Pisces. You or your mate could stage a drama worthy of being set to a Broadway musical score. One of you may be clingy, selfish or demanding. The lesson here: branch out. You can’t be overly dependent on one person to meet all your needs, nor can you provide that for another. Get involved in a do-good social cause, sign up for a course or make non-negotiable plans with friends.
MONEY & CAREER:
Hang tight, Scorpio. You’ve got one more month of workaholic madness,
red tape and backlog ahead. Energetic Mars has been retrograde (backward)
in your career sector since December 20th, slowing down progress that kicked
into gear last October. On March 10th, Mars zooms ahead into direct (forward)
motion, and you can redirect your attention to sidelined new projects.
Until then, hunker down and push through the finish line. With Mars retrograde,
you may experience tension with an authority figure, or someone who reports
to you. Perhaps there’s some repressed anger to clear up on one or
both sides. Have that sit-down and hear each other out.
With the Sun, Neptune and new moon in Aquarius, the first half of February is great for adding pretty touches to your workspace or setting up a home office. Inviting feminine energy will make you far more productive. At the February 13th new moon, plow through the clutter and organize. You need clean space and order (with a few ornamental flourishes) to feel productive now.
Get out and network at the February 28th Virgo full moon. Simmering drama or tension may have caused you to lose perspective. Remove yourself forcibly from emotional environments and hit up an industry cocktail party or event. An evening of laughter and small talk reminds you not to sweat the small stuff. Make room for opportunity by clearing out stale energy. If you belong to an organization that you’ve outgrown, cancel your membership. Take an hour and unsubscribe from any e-mail lists that clutter your Inbox, and set up SPAM filters. Reach out to colleagues via social networks like LinkedIn and Facebook.
HEALTH: MIND, BODY & SOUL:
You’re not a machine, Scorpio, so downshift and take care of yourself.
As driven as you’ve been for the last few months, you’ve forgotten
to prioritize your sleep, nutrition and overall quality of life. Now, your
emotions catch up with you. If you find yourself on the verge of tears
when you hear a sentimental song or face your teeming Inbox, sound the
alarm: it’s break time. On February 13th, the Aquarius new moon aligns
with healing Neptune in your self-care sector. Take that Saturday before
Valentine’s Day to completely pamper yourself.
Just make sure you don’t completely disappear from the face of the earth. Saturn is retrograde in your twelfth house of retreat and healing. You could certainly use extra sleep and a diary to process your thoughts, but do come out of the well—your friends and family might be worried if you don’t keep in touch.
In fact, you might find yourself yearning for more connection with your family around this new moon, especially your mother. If you can, call or make a girls’ day. There’s a chance your home may be in disarray, or your life a bit chaotic, and you could use some support. No matter how old you are, there are times when you just need your mommy. Someone may need “mother energy” from you, too—just make sure you actually have it to give, as Neptune makes you prone to self-sacrifice.
