MONTHLY OVERVIEW:
The Sun is in Aquarius until January 18th, flipping the lights back on in your life. After a sleepy, sluggish January, you’re back on the scene—much to the relief of friends and colleagues who count on you as supplier of joie de vive.

This moon joins with dreamy Neptune, indicating that creativity and imagination will be woven into the next six months. Add a little sparkly glamour to your look, creating a unique mix of elegance and edge. Turn your personality on loudspeaker and bring your full-bodied self to the banquet. Who cares if you’re “too much” for some people? Think of yourself as the Pied Piper, leading a band of merry bandits on a roving adventure.

On the 18th, the Sun enters Pisces, your work and money sector. You’re ready to expand, thanks to abundant Jupiter, which began its year-long tour of Pisces a month ago. You may have outgrown a job, or perhaps you’re craving more of a challenge from your daily routines. Think of your life as a set of building blocks. Does each piece inspire you, or at least take you closer to your dreams? If not, it’s time to rethink how you spend each moment of your day.

LOVE & ROMANCE:
Romance began to percolate in late January, when love-planet Venus entered Aquarius. Venus remains here until the 12th, heralding a period of romantic renewal. Your independence also reboots, and the clinginess you felt in January dissipates—much to your relief. Aquarius is the sign of casual connections, and too much heart fluttering makes you motion sick.

However, the real aphrodisiac is your budding self-confidence. With expansive Jupiter in Pisces, your second house of self-worth, you’re realizing how much value you add to people’s lives. It’s about time! Instead of wondering when you’ll meet “the One,” try something radical: BE “the One” for the person of your dreams. In other words, imagine what the person you’d like to be with would want from a partner, and step up your own game. It’s a total context flip that will empower the heck out of you. (You can also try this technique on your current beau, of course.) Practice on Valentine’s Day, when the moon, Venus and Jupiter will all be in Pisces, injecting you with courage.

Steamy Mars is retrograde (backward) in your relationship house until March 10th anyway, and you may still battle a few commitment anxieties that flared near the holidays. A few embers of sexual tension with an ex could still be burning—and there’s no shame in a little “last hurrah” hookup if it suits you both to have a farewell fling. On February 28th, the Virgo full moon in your intimacy sector could bring a proposal, a pregnancy or declaration of love for some Aquarians, and a necessary parting of ways for others.

MONEY & CAREER:
The wheels are turning and you’re dreaming up all kinds of new paths for yourself. Like a kid in a candy store, you see limitless possibilities, especially while the Sun is in Aquarius until the 18th. Don’t scratch “ballerina” or “firefighter” off the list just yet. Let yourself play and indulge the fantasies. On February 13th, the Aquarius new moon activates a powerful six-month cycle of reinvention.

The picture becomes clearer when the Sun moves into Pisces on February 18th. Pisces rules your second house of work, money and security, and with expansive Jupiter spending much of 2010 here, this could be one of your most prosperous years yet. Of course, there may be a large amount of work to go along with all the manifestation, but you’ve never shied away from rolling up your sleeves—especially for something you love. Be willing to take risks and stretch beyond your known boundaries.

On February 28th, the Virgo full moon lights your eighth house of wealth and joint property. This moon will oppose Jupiter, indicating that you may buy or sell real estate, move or pay off debt. Where is there excess in your life—either with spending or material possessions? If you’ve been filling a hole in your soul with “stuff,” give that up. Start making your money work for you by saving, renegotiating interest rates on credit cards or loans, and reducing your consumption.

HEALTH: MIND, BODY & SOUL:
Healthy habits pay off in spades this month. Planets visiting your stabilizing second house reward you for simplifying and sticking to a routine. Remember that it takes 21 days (three weeks) to form a habit. Don’t spook yourself out of trying by projecting too far into the future or setting impossible goals. Three-week chunks will get you through anything, from revamping your diet to kicking a bad habit like smoking.

With restrictive Saturn retrograde in your ninth house of the higher mind, give yourself a metaphysical makeover. In other words, radically alter your thinking and weed out the doubt. Subtle voices of self-defeat could shoot poison darts at your dreams. These naysaying thoughts are an unconscious mechanism (developed in our early brains). They mean to protect us—like an overprotective mother chiding her 35-year-old son to wear a sweater. Bring consciousness to the shadowy thoughts, rather than relating to them as true or real. Thank them for sharing, then assure them that you’re ready to rock and roll to your highest heights.
