Love & Relationships

A year of growth is ahead for your love life, Scorpio, one that already started last year. In June 2011, expansive Jupiter began a yearlong visit to Taurus, your committed relationship sign. Jupiter will remain here until June 11, 2012. During this time, coupled Scorpios could grow closer than ever to your mates, taking next steps like moving in together, talking babies, starting a family business or renewing your vows. Some relationships will run their course, and you may part ways to move on to a better match. Single Scorpios could fall for someone different than your usual “type.” Since Jupiter rules cross-cultural harmony and travel, you could end up in a long-distance relationship or with someone who woos you with a sexy accent!

In June, Jupiter moves into Gemini for a year, your eighth house of intimacy and permanent bonding. This is when relationships can get even MORE serious. Engagements, pregnancies, divorces, joint finances—all of these big rites of passage fall under the eighth house realm. Two changemaking Gemini eclipses on May 28th and November 28th could push you even further into making things official (or officialy over). You may be dealing with shared finances quite a bit if you’re part of a couple, looking for creative new ways you can save for the future, invest, buy property or manage your money together. Couples splitting up may be embroiled in a lot of details as you figure out how to divide up your assets. Single Scorpios may want to get into a deeper exploration of your sensual desires, as the sexy eighth house gets you in touch with your passions again.

Meantime, how about a little more romance? On February 3rd, dreamy Neptune begins a long visit (until 2026) to Pisces, your fifth house of love, creativity and fertility. A pregnancy is possible this year (Jupiter in the eighth house also encourages this). You may become softer and more emotionally expressive, less guarded about your feelings. A little more open-heartedness will do you good, Scorpio!

In the fall, you start learning how to stand on your own feet in new ways when structured Saturn begins a two-year visit to Scorpio. Saturn reshapes our entire view of ourselves, sometimes in ways that can be challenging at first. The end result, though, will be a stronger, wiser and more self-sufficient Scorpio, which you’re becoming between October 3, 2012 and 2015. This will ultimately make you a better partner, because you’ll have such a solid sense of who you are inside and out. A Scorpio solar eclipse on November 13th could set you on a brand-new path—one you never even expected. Prepare for an adventure!

Work & Money
Two is your magic number for the first half of 2012, while lucky Jupiter visits Taurus, your partnership house. Although you like things done your way and on your terms, you might just find a kindred spirit who can convince you to loosen that ironclad grip. A long-distance client or collaborator with complementary skills could appear, or you may decide to join forces with an agent or representative.

On June 11th, Jupiter moves into Gemini, your eighth house of shared resources and joint finances. You may decide to make things more official with a business or romantic partner, perhaps investing in something that you jointly own. Since Jupiter is all about taking bold risks (but can also be a gambler), you may bring in a large amount of money, or perhaps you’ll come into wealth through a marriage or partnership. You may also decide to pay down a chunk of debt, or to sell off some property due to a breakup or a need to financially reorganize. The eighth house is about “other people’s money”—such as loans, taxes, investments, grants, credit cards, inheritances and legal settlements—and you could be dealing with any of these financial issues between June 2012-June 2013.

Eclipse are changemakers that sweep away outmoded behaviors and usher in distinctive new habits, lifestyles and characters. On May 28th, a Gemini solar eclipse could bring a partnership opportunity that builds up over six months, peaking at the November 28th Gemini lunar eclipse. Looking for a new line or work or income source? Stay tuned at the Sagittarius lunar eclipse on June 4th, which spotlights your second house of daily cashflow. You may leave one line or work or be offered an exciting new job—perhaps out of the blue.

Still haven’t found your true path? Don’t despair, Scorpio. On October 3rd, structured Saturn begins a two-year visit to your sign, putting you on a disciplined reinvention tour that will shape the next 30 years of your life. A solo venture or personal project is demanding your dedicated attention now. Saturn is the zodiac’s personal trainer, so you may need to do some serious “reps”—and sweat out a few tough spots—before you graduate from this boot camp in 2015. It will be well worth the effort, Scorpio, so hang in there and do the hard work. You’re figuring out who you are and what mark you want to leave behind on the world—and this isn’t an overnight process. Fortunately, you’ll have a boost from the November 13th Scorpio new moon, which is also a solar eclipse. You may decide to travel a new path, make over your entire image, or break out on your own. Saturn will form a harmonious “sextile” angle to dreamy Neptune in your expressive fifth house. You may decide to pursue a creative talent or take on a more public role in the last quarter of 2012.

Health & Wellness

Since October 2009, you’ve been doing some tough emotional and spiritual work—and it hasn’t always been easy. Disciplined Saturn, the planet of maturity, has been in Libra, your twelfth house of closure and healing. Saturn will remain here until October 3, 2012, urging you to reckon some of those personal “demons”—codependence, addiction, control issues—and really overturn them for good. You may have dealt with a loss in the past couple years, or perhaps struggled with some complicated emotional challenges. If so, the remainder of this period would be a good time for therapy or deeper spiritual development. Scorpios tend to try to carry the world on your own shoulders. Yet, handing it over to the universe, a higher power, a guardian angel—whatever your version of divinity may be—can provide comfort and relief like you’ve never known before. Even just swallowing your pride and asking another human being for help (and allowing the divine to work through them) could make a huge difference. Yes, you’ll feel vulnerable at first, but you’ll also have the security of knowing that you’re not alone, and never have to be. Don’t bottle up those feelings and repress them, Scorpio. Find as many trusted sources as you can and open your heart.
