Your Health & Fitness Style:
Tauruses are built to last. You’re a rock–solid brick house,
even when you’re on the thin side. One of your sign's most notable
qaulities is being stable. That means exercise--movement in general--is
probably not your idea of a good time. Your energy is heavy, like a sitting
bull, and you esaget “stuck.” Starting a fitness
routine will always be Taurus' biggest challenge. Once you push yourself
through the first couple weeks, the rest is easy. In fact, you'll have
to guard against exercise obsession, like Taurus Renee Zelwegger did to
shed Bridget
Jones' Diary poundage.
For Taurus, it’s
important to move around regularly and often. You get lazy fast, making
it hard to motivate yourself once you’ve decided to unwind.
Because beauty appeals to you, join a spa–like gym with a steam room
and expensive shampoo in the showers. Or, since you're an earth sign,
try brisk exercise outdoors. Graceful Tauruses love music and dancing,
so move your hips to some funky beats! You can be a true couch potato,
so try a brisk 20-minute walk after meals rather than crashing on the
sofa. Getting enough sleep is also important, and Tauruses need more
than most signs to feel totally refreshed.
An image-conscious sign, you must be careful not to fixate on your "flaws," as Tauruses are susceptible to body image issues. Your signmate Jamie-Lynn Sigler chronicled her battle with anorexia in Wise Girl. Even Taurus Uma Thurman admitted to battling body dysmorphia.
Your ruler Venus is the goddess of beauty, so you need no encouragement to pamper yourself. Try facials, manicures, massage or any bodywork that engages your five senses. Because you rule the throat, your tensions may pool there, so a good way to release the energy is by singing or shouting. Rent a private karaoke room, or blast your stereo and sing at the top of your lungs. If you live in the country, drive out to a remote place and try some primal screaming.
