This Tuesday, the cosmos begins a unique phase for healing and regeneration. The comet Chiron (which is powerful enough to be counted as a planetary force by us astrologers) moves into Pisces until 2018. Chiron is known as “the wounded healer,” and its position in the skies points to an area where collective pain can be transformed into an enlightened mission. Hey, let’s face it, sometimes we have to hit rock bottom before we realize how much better it feels to soar.
With Chiron in Pisces, we may find ourselves at the floor of the emotional ocean, plumbing through feelings of guilt, fear, regret, and psychic pain. Many of these feelings were pushed down during this now-ending Chiron in Aquarius phase; it’s important to deal with them now so they can flow through us. Aquarius is the zodiac’s innovator and social networker, and with Facebook, Twitter, iPhones, Skype, and other technology now household realities, we can locate and connect to our “tribes” around the globe as fast as the speed of our Internet connection. Incredible, but something HAS gotten lost along the way. As we “friend” 1,001 acquaintances, follow celebrities on Twitter, and text our BFFs during breakfast, lunch, and dinner, we’ve arguably become less present to the non-virtual world.
Enter Chiron in Pisces, here to remind us of the importance of the face-to-face, intimate connection. Pisces also rules the arts, and this healing energy may finally bring jobs back to the frustrated SAG actors who have been replaced by “Real Housewives” and the cast of “16 and Pregnant.” Healing and redistributing the world’s water supply is the next “inconvenient truth” we’ll have to face during this Chiron phase. Could it be that by 2018, women in Africa no longer have to walk six hours a day to carry water from unsafe wells? We hope that happens sooner. Chiron, this is your cue.
