How fierce is your roar? The Sun is officially grooving through Leo this week, a month-long cycle that began last Saturday. On Thursday, Venus will also move in to the sign of El Leon, and Saturday brings a Leo new moon. Proud, regal, and determined, this planetary energy wants us to pursue our loftiest goals and produce a magical expression of ourselves to share with the world. Mars is wrapping up its tour of Gemini, the sign of the Twins and the zodiac’s communicator. Spend this week locking in strategic partnerships, following up on phone calls and emails, and getting all paperwork signed. Another good reason to do so? From August 2nd-25th, Mercury turns retrograde, a thrice-yearly cycle that is inauspicious for deal-making. Mercury retrogrades are known for causing technical issues and slowdowns with travel plans, so take the necessary precautions and spend this week backing up important files, tuning up your car, reconfirming flight and hotel rezzies, and buying any gadgets you need before the summer ends. Retrogrades are good times for going back to the past. Hold off on those reunions ‘til next week, and nurture the new relationships you want to build in the here and now.

After an active, energetic month, the Sun heads out of Aries this Tuesday and moves on to Taurus. That swirl of new ideas, the projects that got initiated…now it’s time to parse through the data and figure out what can realistically be done. Welcome to April! Get ready for an unusual–and intense–month. An awe-inspiring SEVEN planets will visit Aries in April, an event that won’t happen again in our lifetimes. This Sunday the 3rd is a powerhouse day because the new moon, the Sun, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter AND Uranus will all gather in Aries, igniting our desire to seize the day. Aries is a hotheaded fire sign that inspires us to “go for it.”

Of course, there’s always a plot twist. Directly opposite Jupiter all month is cautious Saturn in Libra, the sign of partnerships. (See our new YouTube video about the Jupiter-Saturn opposition!) Do you really think you’re better off alone? Make sure you’re not burning any bridges when you run off on that solo mission. Have you really thought your actions through? With Mercury retrograde until April 23rd, our thinking isn’t as clear as can be.
