Typically, people meet or marry “the One” during this cycle. And with three other planets in Aquarius now, they picked a winning date.

Although Cancer is an emotional Water sign and Leo is a passionate Fire sign, these two are both romantic and sensitive by nature. Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson are another Cancer-Leo couple whose astrological differences seem to make them more complementary than combative. When Libra John Mayer escorted Aquarius Jennifer Aniston to the Oscars, some took it as a public acknowledgment of his commitment. As astrologers, we’re not so sure. Crass as it sounds, the Libra man can be a bit of a fame whore. Mayer’s sign is ruled by beauty-loving Venus, giving him a taste for all things red carpet. Was Aniston just a ticket to duck behind the velvet ropes?

Mayer himself gushed to Ryan Seacrest the next day, “You can go from a Grammy winner to a water boy when you walk into the Kodak Theatre on Oscar night,” and asked Aniston to introduce him to various A-listers. Either way, he served his role as a Brangelina buffer. However, we suspect that at some point this year, Aniston may find herself just not that into HIM. Expansive Jupiter is in Aquarius, making this a year that she truly falls in love with the “right” person: herself. So just when the slow-moving Libra finally decides he’s ready to commit, she may be over it.

On her 21st birthday, pictures of a bruised Rihanna surfaced. They were taken the night of her alleged battery by Taurus boyfriend Chris Brown. Talk about “Disturbia.” As a Pisces, Rihanna is going through a difficult year. Jupiter has been in her troubled twelfth house since January 2009, a cycle when hidden problems come out into the open. It won’t be easy for Rihanna to dodge the press much longer. In fact, the more she avoids, the more dirt they’re likely to dig up.

Now, the public is wondering: will she press charges against Brown, or even break up with him? We know that violence against women is a complex issue. If it was as easy as walking out, she would have done that by now. The extra challenge for Pisces women is that they are easily manipulated by misplaced guilt. She may be tempted to go back to Brown if he sweet talks her well enough.

As for Chris Brown and his explosive Taurus temper? Jupiter is in his tenth house of fathers and authority. It’s time to deal with those “daddy” issues of his own. Although this could have been his most successful year yet, it may now just be his most notorious. His only hope is to ‘fess up about his bigger problems and get himself into some serious counseling. He should stay the heck away from Rihanna and work on himself this year. That is, if he hopes to ever redeem his once-promising young stardom.
